I was reading this morning in my Bible and read this in I Thessalonians 2:19-20, "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy." Pretty much what this is saying is, What do you rejoice in or glory in? What do you get excited about? What can't you stop thinking about? What do you brag to other people about? These are great questions to ask, because the answer to this probably is what we are getting "caught up" in. What are we excited about? What do we glory in or find ourselves telling people? Video Games? Sports? American Idol? I am convinced of this, what we are preoccupied with, is what we get excited about, and is eventually what we get caught up in. As a Christian, I love to be in the presence of God, but if you are anything like me, it is hard to stay in the presence of God, day in and day out. So if you can relate, ask yourself this question, "What is preoccupying your time? What do you get excited about? What do you glory in?"
I really believe God desires for us to not just be in His presence on Sunday mornings, but to stay in His presence every day. Get preoccupied with the things of God. Read His Word. Pray daily. Read a book. Worship...with people. If you get preoccupied with the things of God daily, you will eventually get excited about it and begin talking to every one about it. And then you will get caught up in the presence of God. Don't wait any longer... get preoccupied with God and get "Caught Up" in His presence.
CAUGHT UP...
