Drink your own drink

Have you ever caught yourself accidentally drinking someone else's drink? I don't know about you, but it is one of the most embarrassing things that you could do. In one second you are craving your drink, and in the next moment you are guzzling down someone else's drink. If you have ever done this, you know that someone else's drink is never as good as your own. I think a lot of times as Christians, we can be guilty of looking a lot like this sometimes. We love to drink out of others people's drinks... a lot. Now I am not talking about actual drinks, but our spiritual well... our own growth. We love to drink from what other people got from the Word. We love to drink/listen to other people deliver the Word. But for many of us, we rarely drink from our own. Prov. 4:15 says, "Drink water from your own cistern, and running water from your own well." What it is saying is, we need to begin to draw from our own well... our own faith. What do you believe about what God believes about you? There is so much more power in just us and God. There is something about you drawing deep from God's well... His Word. If you would begin to draw from your own well; if you would begin to read your own Word; if you would begin to drink your own drink, you wouldn't find yourself in places of feeling dry but in places of fruitfulness and joy. Drink your own drink, read your own Word, and discover a strong and powerful faith.

This is what it looks like when you drink for yourself...
