If you have been alive for the last years, which hopefully if you are reading this you are alive, you know that our nation and our economy is very fragile. When 911 happened, we were all awakened to the fact that the United States isn't being held up by much. I can't help but think of our generation and what we are growing up into. We are coming into places of leadership, knowing that at any given time, the materialistic things that hold us up could be destroyed in a heart beat. It is times like these that it is easy to look at what is going on and begin to get fearful for what is to come. Fearful that your dreams won't be fulfilled or that where you want to go isn't going to be much of a reality. We are surrounded by a generation who may seem confident on the outside, but has a deep fear for what is ahead.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to be held up by materialistic things. "Things" come and go and leave you empty, but the hope of Jesus stands forever. When I first begun to hear comments from people, I felt for a generation who doesn't know Jesus; a generation who finds its hope in stuff. This generation needs to hear hope... a hope that lasts beyond a dying nation...a hope that lasts forever.
But I sense a generation rising... A generation so filled with love for Jesus, that it can't be contained... A generation rising to declare God's works... A Generation rising to declare God's strength...A generation rising to declare hope in Jesus. God is looking for a generation who is willing to look beyond momentary pleasures and who is willing to declare who He is to a dying nation... Hear David's words in Psalm 71,"O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come." David understood this call and he stepped up to the plate.
A generation is rising... will you declare His name to a dying nation?
Jesus died for us to know His name... He loves a people undeserving..
Listen to the words... listen to their response at the end
